Southern Maryland – The Southern Maryland “Buying Local Guide” Farmers Market Edition has been updated for the 2024 season with the latest information on area farmers markets, courtesy of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC), a division of the Southern Maryland Tri-County Council.
This guide is more than just a farm guide. It’s Southern Maryland’s go-to agricultural resource for the region’s freshest and finest harvests. It’s packed with farmers market listings for home-grown vegetables, fruits, herbs and more. Find delicious farm-made goods like local meats, seafood, cheeses, honey, jams, jellies, pickles, baked goods, artisanal beverages and more at a farmers market near you.
Get ready for some fun browsing! The Guide is available online in a “flip-book” format and is packed with interactive search features to give you easy access to farmers markets in your area and throughout the Metro DC region. Visit the “Get the Guide” page on SMADC.com to start exploring, and keep an eye out for future updates as we add sections for new specialty farms and producers.
SMADC also invites all Marylanders to support, celebrate and buy all things grown, harvested, produced, handcrafted and homemade in Maryland with its 2024 Buy Local Challenge celebration, celebrating Maryland farms, producers, artisans and farm-hosted fun.
