Zyx Technology, an AI digital design platform company, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding to donate 1 billion won ($722,021) worth of ZyxCAD licenses to Seoul National University.

The signing ceremony, held on June 25, was attended by key figures including Zix Technology CEO Uhm Shin-jo and Seoul National University President Won Young-geul.

ZyxCAD is a versatile computer-aided design (CAD) software developed exclusively by Zyx Technology, with a user interface and software language compatibility to ensure a smooth transition for users accustomed to other design programs, and at a competitive price.

The donated licenses will enable around 500 students and faculty at Seoul National University to use ZyxCAD for the next three years.

Zyx Technology aims to enable universities and their students to learn and use the next-generation design platform. The company is also committed to joint research and development of domestic AI software, training of professional talents, and mentoring young people to participate in practical training programs.

“We hope that Seoul National University students will be able to use our high-quality, domestically produced CAD software without any financial burden, improve their design skills to global standards, and become future industry leaders,” said Eom.

Meanwhile, Zyx Technology’s AI R&D center is developing Zyx Designer, an intelligent automated design program that integrates AI into the complex architectural design process. The company says the program will minimize repetitive tasks and reduce design time.
