Windy and dry on Wednesday
It’s a little rainy, so keep that in mind in the forecast for Wednesday. There will be scattered light rain in the area. Not heavy rain, but definitely more humidity in the morning. It’s also a little windy, so you might get some rain drops and wind. The weather may be better this morning, but it will improve later in the afternoon, so be prepared for better skies. But the rest of the morning we’re forced to avoid the aftermath of yesterday’s thunderstorms, and now it’s just light rain. Temperatures are mostly in the upper 60s to lower 70s, a remnant of what was once Hurricane Barrel. It will be a little cooler with 66 in Seymour, 72 in Metro, and 73 in Frankfurt. But as you head up the parkway towards Richfield, E-Town, and Bardstown, you’ll see more temperatures in the upper 60s. Overall, it will tend to be dry by midday, according to your itinerary. The rain will stop, and we’ll have more sunshine with temperatures at 77. Highs will rise to near 84 degrees, but will be windy in the afternoon. West winds will be 15 to 25 degrees. Winds will gust to near 30 degrees at times, but will be comfortable in the evening. Humidity will drop from midday to evening. By 10:00, it will be 77 degrees, perfect for outdoor plans. The forecast radar shows a drying trend through the afternoon, and it confirms that. Heavy clouds will clear and more sunshine will come through, and rain will start to fall to the north and east through tonight. I think the area will be generally calm, but the weather is still lingering, with a chance of rain showers and thunder. Late tomorrow. It’s not for everyone. Scattered showers are likely tomorrow afternoon, mainly north of I-64, in northern Kentucky, and southern Indiana, and it could be a storm with a high near 88 degrees. Heat will be the weather topic from Friday through the weekend. Friday it was 90. We’re at 93. Saturday and Sunday it’ll be in the upper 90s, Monday 95, Tuesday 97. There’s a chance of a couple of cold showers Saturday and Tuesday afternoon, but we’re not going to see widespread rain from here on out.
Wednesday will be windy and dry
