The two leading presidential candidates, former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, will go head-to-head in the first presidential debate of the election season on November 5th.
The incumbent candidates will debate for the first time since the 2020 presidential election on Thursday, June 27. Next week’s debate is one of several that Trump and Biden have announced they will participate in. The second debate will air on ABC on Tuesday, September 10.
The questions being asked of the candidates have not been disclosed, but they will likely be asked to answer questions about the key issues voters prioritize in this election.

When and where can I watch the debate?
Trump and Biden will debate live from CNN’s studios in Atlanta. The debate will be broadcast live on CNN, CNN International and CNN En Español. It will also be available on multiple cable news networks and CNN Max if viewers want to stream the debate.
The debate will air on Thursday, June 27th at 7pm Mountain Time / 8pm Central Time.
Who will be attending the debate?
CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the debate.
Tapper, CNN’s lead anchor in Washington, D.C., hosts the show “The Lead with Jake Tapper.” Dana Bash is the host of “Inside Politics” and moderated the 2016 and 2020 presidential debates.
Unlike most presidential debates, there will be no live audience to react to what the candidates say.
According to Politico, Biden requested that spectators not be allowed into the debate to limit heckling from Trump supporters.
Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could be invited to the debate if he reaches 270 electoral votes in state ballots by June 20 and receives 15 percent support in four national polls.
