Anupam Mittal, CEO of People Group and Shaadi.com, has come under fire for introducing a ‘dowry calculator’ on Shaadi.com. He was accused of promoting harmful traditions. Now, Mittal has made a comeback with a video tutorial on how to use the controversial feature.
In fact, the tool has been introduced to send a strong message. Those using the tool have to enter some basic details in the hope that it will suggest a particular amount that they “deserve.” Once they confirm their “worth” with the feature, it will display data on dowry deaths in India.

In a video shared on Instagram, Mittal said that calculating dowry used to be easy, “but now it has become very complicated.
