Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra was blown away by the astounding performance of a nine-year-old girl from India on America’s Got Talent. The girl, Praniska Mishra, had recently appeared on the reality show and wowed audiences with her sensational singing voice.
“For the second time in the last 2 weeks, a young woman (a very young woman) of Indian origin has lit up the @AGT stage with simply phenomenal quality. Skilled in America’s unique musical genres, Rock & Gospel. Praniska Mishra is only 9 years old. I cried when she called me her grandmother. Yes, America does have talent. And a lot of it comes from India…” Mahindra wrote on X’s post.
The video of the show begins with Mishra, dressed in a purple dress, walking onto the stage waving to the audience and the judges. She introduces herself and tells the judges that she is from Florida. Mishra expresses her excitement for the performance and says that her grandmother wanted her to perform on the “big stage.”
Mishra lists Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner as her favorite artists in the world. Immediately after introducing herself, Pranjka sang Tina Turner’s “River Deep, Mountain High,” wowing the audience and the judges with her voice.
