Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil spoke in parliament and said he Taylor Swift Fazil was a Swift fan himself, but some of his subordinates were her biggest followers. He admitted to being a City Zoner and fan of Malaysian songstress Siti Nurhalizah, and noted that Bangi MP Shaahrezhan Johan was a proud Swift fan. This was in reference to a post Shaahrezhan made on X last November, praising Swift’s album “1989” as one of her best works.
As Fazeel addressed Indera Mahkota MP Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, a confused Ramli interjected: “YB, strip?!” Fazeel quickly corrected himself, explaining: “No, Swifty, Taylor Swift.”
Due to this confusion, Dewan Rayat LOL. Reacting to the video, one user wrote: “This is what they’re debating in parliament? I thought they were supposed to be debating more serious issues.” Another commented: “A good example of the generation gap.” A third commented: “Taylor Swift has somehow become a political topic in many countries. Hmm.”
