RIA Certuity has named former WisdomTree and Dynasty figure Scott Welch as chief investment officer.
Welch, who has more than 25 years of investment experience, most recently served as a member of WisdomTree’s asset allocation and investment committee and CIO of the firm’s model portfolios.
Welch previously served as CIO of Dynasty Financial Partners and was co-founder and chief investment officer of Fortigent, a provider of outsourced investment research, technology and practice management solutions to RIAs and banks that was acquired by LPL Financial Inc. Prior to joining Fortigent and its predecessor RIAs in 1998, Welch spent more than 12 years on Wall Street.
Welch holds the Investment Management Analyst designation, Investment Strategist, Senior Investment Strategist and Alternative Investment designation from the Institute for Investment and Wealth Studies (IWI) and serves on the IWI Board of Directors, the ABA Wealth Management Trust Conference Advisory Board and the Editorial Advisory Board.
