X (formerly Twitter) users reported a brief outage on Thursday. Several users were unable to access the site due to technical issues. According to Downdetector, which detects and monitors online outages and failures, users reported being unable to use the platform. Immediately after the failure occurred, many netizens were confused and took to the microblog platform to ask if X was not working.

This comes after Meta-owned services Instagram and WhatsApp experienced a one-hour outage earlier this month. Users of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads reported a major outage in March that left them unable to access the apps for about two hours.
