After 13 impressive seasons as the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting center, Jason Kelce is coming out of retirement and taking his talents to television. Anyone who knows the former center knows he’s a very good performer in front of a microphone, but he may be stepping away from the TV screen this season to blow the whistle.
Jason Kelce joins Monday Night Football

In April, it was announced that Kelce would join ESPN’s Monday Night Football and star in the Monday Night Countdown show. Monday Night Football has become one of the big events on the weekly NFL schedule, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the booth and Peyton Manning and Eli Manning doing the Manningcast, and Kelce is now one of the main hosts of Monday Night Countdown. However, he could return to the Eagles this season in a different capacity.
Kelce joins Eagles coaching staff and makes bold prediction

Connor Oh of Sports Illustrated published an article titled “100 Bold Predictions for the 2024 NFL Season.” Kelce will leave television to return to the sidelines and join the Eagles coaching staff. Oh had this to say about Kelce becoming a coach:
Despite a budding broadcasting career and a great TV-friendly personality (not to mention the insight into the offensive line position that’s rarely available from a group of former player analysts focused on quarterbacks and skill positions), Kelce has expressed commitment to the job and will rejoin the organization that meant so much to him during his playing days. As a bonus prediction, defensive end Brandon Graham will also be joining the team’s front office in some capacity.

“It’s great to have Kelce back as a coach with the Eagles. He’s one of the best centers of all time and one of the best leaders in NFL history, so if he can help a new generation of Eagles players, it’s great for the team and it’s great for the sport.”
