Alabama knows the kicker position well, having just enrolled one of the best kickers in college football history, Will Reichard, who set the NCAA career scoring record last season for the most points a college football player has ever scored and was drafted in the sixth round by the Minnesota Vikings.
With Reichardt set to play Sunday, Alabama needs to find a new kicker who can carry the team in key games over the next few seasons, and the Crimson Tide may have found that person.

With the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams and many more close games, having a good kicker is essential, so Notaro better be prepared to kick in a tough environment when he steps on campus next year.
The great news is that Notaro’s leg is already strong: On Monday, a video of him kicking a 65-yard field goal went viral on social media.

While Notaro isn’t facing a defense, he’s not wearing any equipment in the video, and there isn’t even a snapper or holder, it’s encouraging to see him kick from 65 yards. Not many high school kickers can even make a 40-yard field goal, and Notaro will have a lot of growth in another year of high school football before going to college, so maybe he’ll be kicking from 70 yards by next July.
