Tottenham are ready to spend around €100 million on a triple assault on Serie A this summer, starting with an ambitious move to sign versatile Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso.

The north London side have made rapid progress under coach Ange Postecoglou this season, with the Australian’s no-nonsense demeanor and eye-pleasing approach to the game winning the hearts of fans and pundits alike. However, despite Tottenham’s stunning start to the season, winning eight of their first 10 games and setting the pace at the top of the Premier League early on, injuries plagued them throughout the autumn and winter. Not only the title, but also a top-four finish ultimately ends in disappointment.

Despite this, Spurs secured a top-five finish. This at least returns Europa League football to N17 next season and highlights the progress the club has made under Postecoglou.

But plans are already in place for what promises to be a summer of ups and downs at the club as Postecoglou looks to implement the second phase of his rebuilding plan.

Firstly, the Tottenham manager is ready to move 10 star players as part of a summer clean-up that will cost Tottenham a big cut in the £225m worth of players available for transfer, but will free up some space in the squad for the 58-year-old manager to sign his own players.

With that in mind, Postecoglou will be hoping to strengthen the spine of his squad with new defenders, midfielders and strikers, all of whom are on his wanted list.

Tottenham to compete with Aston Villa for 40 million euros for Juventus defender

Tottenham are ready to offer €40 million to sign Juventus defender Cambiaso this summer, according to reports in Italy.

The 24-year-old is one of Italy’s most versatile and talented full-backs, making 24 appearances as a right-back and a further 11 as a left-back for Juve during the 2023/24 season. season.

The two-time Italian defender is expected to be part of coach Luciano Spalletti’s side as they aim to defend their European title this summer.

Juventus will be keen to reward the former Genoa player with a new deal to reward his impressive form, but they may also consider buying a substantial offer if one comes along.

Aston Villa have reportedly already rejected inquiries for the player, but an offer worth €40m (about £34m) would leave Juve with little choice but to make a cash move. It has been suggested that this is a possibility.

Spurs are also set to embark on a move for another defender in Bologna centre-back Riccardo Calafioli, who is valued at €30 million.

Ironically, the 22-year-old is also a target for Juventus, who are hoping to sign the Italy Under-21 international as a replacement for Gleison Bremer, who may be sold this summer.

However, his asking price seems a bit high for Juve. Juve need to sell before they buy, which could open the door for Spurs’ resurgence, as we have seen Calafiori play many times in recent weeks.

Postecoglou has clear plans for Radu Dragusin

Postecoglou sees Calafiori as important cover for first-choice duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, who struggled with injuries and suspensions last season.

However, despite increasing reports in the Italian media that Calafioli has been identified as the replacement for Radu Dragusin, who signed in January, and amid growing links over a move to Napoli, TEAMtalk’s Sources have revealed that the player remains very much in Postecoglou’s thoughts. Tottenham are reportedly not considering selling the Romanian.

The player’s agent has expressed disappointment that Dragusin has not been given game time since his 30 million euro (approximately 2.67 billion yen) move from Genoa in January, and will return to action this summer. There is widespread speculation that he might transfer.

However, manager Postecoglou is determined to keep the 22-year-old at the club, seeing him as a key member of the team going forward and a player who will soon break into north London and the Premier League.

That’s why the Spurs manager wants to have four top-class centre-backs.

The Tottenham manager has also been looking long and hard at options for a new striker this summer in order to improve his ranks and provide the club with an even stronger goal threat in front of goal.

And one player who is attracting a lot of interest is Genoa forward Albert Gutmundsson. He had a great season scoring 14 goals in 34 games.

This positive result has led to a number of clubs interested in signing the Icelandic international, with Tottenham being one of them.

However, Napoli have made the first approach to sign him, with the club seeing the player as a potential replacement in their attacking line, with Victor Osimhen’s long-term future in doubt. .

In fact, the Azzurri have learned that any transfer would cost at least 30 million euros, which they consider too high at the moment.

However, Tottenham would not be deterred by such an investment and are reportedly planning a formal approach with the potential to seal a deal and earn him a €100m triple raid on Serie A. There is.
