GIZ, the German government’s foreign aid implementing agency, reported today that it recently concluded a Training of Trainers (TOT) session on the delivery of comprehensive entrepreneurship courses to Libyan educational institutions.

GIZ explained that the training was based on the CEFE (Capability-Based Economy through Entrepreneurship) concept and was implemented by its partner INEO. The CEFE method is a comprehensive set of training tools with an action-oriented approach. The initiative was carefully designed as part of the overarching goal of promoting economic independence for young people, especially women.

The 10-day TOT session, held in Tunis, targeted more than 30 trainers from 15 educational institutions across Libya and aimed to provide the trainers with comprehensive knowledge and practical tools to teach entrepreneurial skills to students and graduates.

The trained trainers are now preparing to implement entrepreneurship development courses at their own institutions, using the methods they learned in the TOT.

Through its work, GIZ is fostering an environment that promotes inclusive entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on increasing economic opportunities for women and young people, he said. Together with the Ministry of Youth, GIZ is contributing to the broader vision of creating a prosperous and peaceful Libya for all.
