The Texas Longhorns could have another leader in five-star wide receivers, as Jaime Ffrench joins D’Acolyen Moore as elite receivers who could lean to Texas.
French received his On3 RPM projection from Justin Wells of Inside Texas on Wednesday, who predicted he would pick the Longhorns: French’s impact on his next team could be immediately apparent.
According to On3 Sports’ industry rankings, French is one of 32 players with a five-star rating and ranks 19th overall.
If he chooses Texas, along with No. 3 nationally ranked player Dacorine Moore, it likely means the Longhorns haven’t been able to get close to their ceiling offensively during Austin coach Steve Sarkisian’s tenure. .
The Longhorns have made long runs and won with five-star talents such as left tackle Kelvin Banks, right guard DJ Campbell, edge rusher Collin Simmons, quarterback Arch Manning, defensive back Xavier Filsheim and wide receiver Ryan Wingo.
The current coaching staff’s confidence in waiting and recruiting players who are slow to make decisions paid off during the Sarkisian era. They aim to continue this trend in the 2025 recruitment cycle.
