Aspiring entrepreneurs, MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise) owners, and anyone with a knack for business are in for an educational and inspiring day when Tala Philippines presents TALAkayan with Salve Duplito on July 13, 2024 at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City.

TALA is the world’s first global majority fintech company and conducts financial education workshops called TALAkayan hosted by financial literacy advocate and money expert Salve Dupreet. Here, participants learn money management skills and other tools that can help them take control of their finances and achieve their financial goals. They can also test what they have learned by participating in fun games and win amazing prizes.
For the 13th TALAkayan, Tala will collaborate with Iskaparate, a platform that empowers small entrepreneurs in the digital space, to host an exhibition alongside the learning sessions. The exhibition will feature 16 local entrepreneurs showcasing a variety of products ranging from crocheted items and clay crafts to baked boneless bangus and bagoong. The exhibition is open to all who want to support local brands and businesses.

Get to know and see the different local businesses and entrepreneurs that belong to the Iskapalate network at the exhibition, which will be held at Trinoma’s Level 1 Activity Centre on July 13th from 10am to 10pm.
To date, a total of 1,105 people have attended TALAkayan workshops in various locations across the metro. Many of these people are entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs who were able to pick up useful financial techniques from Salve Duplito, such as preparing a net profit and loss statement.
“Access to financial education is very important for every Filipino and I am happy that TALA can provide this opportunity to entrepreneurial mothers, housewives and individuals through our TALAkayan workshops, through which we hope to contribute to improving their businesses and financial lives in general,” Dupreet said.

Salve Duplito, Founder and President of Empower and Transform, is on a mission to revolutionize the financial industry in the Philippines through financial education and literacy. She and her team run workshops that are packed with activities that are informative, inspiring, and relatable for participants.
At every step of an aspiring entrepreneur’s journey, Tala supports them through its accessible financial services. With just a few clicks on their smartphone, they can apply for a loan from Tala and use it as capital to start a food company, sari-sari store, or small business selling prepared foods online. Borrowers can also increase their loan limit by making on-time repayments, which can be used to further expand their business.

TALA Philippines partnered with Empower and Transform to hold various financial education workshops for Filipinos to help them on their journey to financial freedom. One of the highlights of the workshop was asking participants to create a vision board of their goals and dreams.
“Tala has always been a trusted partner to MSME owners, not only providing easy access to flexible and convenient online credit to support their businesses but also aiming to guide them on their financial journey through our TALAkayan workshops,” said Missy Santos, Senior Marketing Manager, Tala. “The success stories of our customers inspire us to further strengthen our efforts in bridging the financial gap for the majority of the world’s population.”
The exhibition on July 13th will run from 10am to 10pm, and the workshop will begin at 2pm. Walk-ins are welcome and registrations can be made on-site before the workshop begins. For the latest updates, please visit TALA’s official Facebook page and website.
