Top gainers included Bajaj Hindustan Sugar (up 2.60%), Bannari Amman Sugars (up 2.58%), Uggal Sugar Works (up 2.26%), Rajshree Sugars and Chemicals (up 2.12%), DCM Shriram Industries (up 2.00%), KCP Sugar and Industries Corporation (up 1.60%), Balrampur Chini Mills (up 1.54%), Magadh Sugar and Energy (up 1.30%), Uttam Sugar Mills (up 1.25%) and Sakthi Sugars (up 0.97%).
Mawana Sugars (down 0.90%) and Kothari Sugars and Chemicals (down 0.06%) were the top losers.
At around 10:39 am, the NSE Nifty50 index was trading at 24,085.5, up 74.91 points, while the 30-stock BSE Sensex was trading at 79,238.99, up 206.26 points.
Wipro Ltd. (up 2.98 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 2.13 per cent), LTI Mindtree Ltd. (up 1.86 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.76 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.57 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.41 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.31 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (up 1.24 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (up 1.22 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 1.2 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, NTPC Ltd. (down 2.15%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 1.23%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 1.07%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.99%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (down 0.93%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.78%), State Bank of India (down 0.67%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.57%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (down 0.54%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.35%) were among the decliners.
