AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Student Startup Innovation Hub (iHub) in collaboration with Fluid Ventures and Easy Knowledge hosted its first ever two-day investment demo day, Pitch Your Startups. According to Hiranmay Mahanta, CEO, iHub, the event saw participation from 13 venture funds from across India, with seven from Gujarat. “20 startups were selected to pitch their innovative ideas,” Mahanta said. “After the initial pitch, one-on-one meetings will facilitate deeper collaboration. Many of these funds are exploring opportunities in Gujarat for the first time.” Expressing optimism about the impact the event would have on the state’s startup scene, Mahanta said, “Till now, many promising startups from Gujarat have looked to raise funding and gain visibility outside the state. This platform will now provide both within Gujarat.” Notable venture funds include Growx Ventures in Delhi, Signal Ventures and Rockstud Capital in Mumbai, Agility Ventures in Gurugram and Sea Fund in Bangalore. These funds span various sectors including maritime, defence technology, deep tech and healthcare, reflecting both sector-specific and sector-agnostic investment interests.
