In the famous Fifty Founders Battle, an intense pitching contest, Latvia’s SUBmerge Baltic won the TechChill community prize of 10,000 euros, and Estonia’s Salesforge took home 150,000 euros of syndicated funds from BADideas.fund (chic) and €100,000 in funding from DEPO Ventures. FleetFox from Estonia received €75,000 in funding from BADideas.fund (again, chic), Sweden’s Silo Team has secured a €250,000 “investment opportunity” from Look AI Ventures.
Other companies that participated in Fifty Founders Battle also won smaller prizes, but these prizes included items such as advertising credits and tuition fees rather than cash or financial investments.
This year’s Fifty Founders Battle received a record number of 388 entries from 57 countries. According to organizers, the entire TechChill event was attended by more than 2,300 participants, 250 investors, 600 startup representatives, more than 60 media representatives, and more than 100 speakers from 40 countries.
