Entrepreneurship students in New YorkThe Dixie L. Levitt School of Business’ Center for Entrepreneurship had the amazing opportunity to visit New York City over spring break and learn from successful people in their fields. Students interacted with celebrities and business leaders, got a behind-the-scenes look at the New York business community, and gained valuable insight into the world of commerce. The trip provided a platform for hands-on learning and networking through real-world experiences that will prove invaluable to students in their careers and life after graduation.

“I truly enjoyed every moment of this trip!” said Haley Steggel, a fourth-year business management and marketing student and Entrepreneur Center employee. “I loved all the places we went and all the people we met! I had fun trying new foods, figuring out how to use Subway, and exploring the city!”

The trip began at Rockefeller Center, where students had the opportunity to meet with David Chen at the Harvard Club, a famous historical and cultural landmark. From there, the group met and enjoyed a meal with Marsha Nelson, Managing Director of Freedom Capital Markets. They also had the opportunity to meet with Morad Fareed, former professional soccer player and co-founder of global health company Delos, before departing. Some of the food on the trip was provided by Southern Utah University and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Students also visited the New York Stock Exchange to get a first-hand experience of the day-to-day life of an entrepreneur. The experiences gained on this and other tours offered by the SUU Business School Entrepreneurship Center go a long way in giving students a broader perspective on opportunities after college while providing an authentic New York experience.

The Entrepreneurship Center is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential in the business world through valuable experience and education. Learn more about the Entrepreneurship Center.
