A shocking video has gone viral on the internet showing a speeding tractor hitting several people during a race fair at Domeri village in Punjab’s Phagwara. Reports say the tractor went out of control. As many as 10 people were rushed to hospital.
The viral video shows several tractors and their owners who had gathered to watch the race. The driver of the red tractor can be seen in the video losing control and hitting people at the event. The accident creates chaos as people can be seen running for their lives. X-user Akashdeep Thind, who shared the video, wrote, “An out-of-control tractor hit several people of Phagwara village (Domeli). The accident took place during a tractor race at the fair.”

The video, which was shared on June 15, has been viewed more than 35,000 times on the platform. Many social media users called on the government to compensate those injured. In response, one user wrote: “They are getting what they deserve, why would they risk participating in such a stupid and pointless event!!!” Another user commented: “The government should compensate for the losses.”
“I hope there were no fatalities!! What on earth are the local authorities doing? Have they taken all the safety precautions?” wrote a third user.
Another X user, Gautam Rishi, said several people, including a child, were seriously injured in the incident.
Local police have seized three vehicles and detained four people in connection with the incident.
In October 2023, the Punjab government had banned tractor stunts after a stuntman died after being crushed under a tractor tyre in Gurdaspur district.
