Dorothy McAuliffe, Special Representative for Global Partnerships, will visit Bogotá, Colombia, and San José, Costa Rica, on April 3 and 4 to launch three Coalition of Climate Entrepreneurs (CCE) hubs in Latin America. . The launch follows the announcement of the hub in Guatemala by Jose W. Fernández, Undersecretary for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment, who visited Guatemala on March 18.
This expansion of the CCE network in Latin America is made possible by implementation partners PVBLIC Foundation and CleantechHUB, as well as national university partners who host these makerspaces on their campuses.

- In San Jose – Universidad LCI Veritas
- In Guatemala City – Rafael Landival University
CCE is a public-private partnership that aims to address the climate crisis and contribute to economic empowerment by fostering entrepreneurship focused on climate solutions. Over two years, the hub will advance climate entrepreneurship, create green jobs and contribute to a zero-carbon, sustainable and inclusive future.
Three CCE hubs in Latin America will engage 1,000 stakeholders, engage 450 students in presenting green ideas, train 100 startup teams, and mentor 40 to 60 educators. That’s what I’m aiming for. Particular emphasis will be placed on increasing the representation of underserved groups, such as women, people of African descent, and indigenous peoples, as climate entrepreneurs.
