SolarEdge announced Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of Israeli startup Wevo Energy. Founded in 2021 by CEO Teddy Flatau and CTO Adi Baron, Wevo is the ideal choice for EV charging in locations with large numbers of EV chargers, such as apartment complexes, workplace parking lots, and public charging locations. Wevo’s software is designed to be vendor-neutral and supports industry-leading open protocols to provide multi-user pricing and billing, progressive prioritization of charging schedules, predictive load management, and Enables various additional services. To date, Wevo has powered thousands of parking spaces in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Wevo is already integrated with SolarEdge’s EV chargers, solar inverters, and meters.
The Wevo solution will also be part of the SolarEdge ONE energy optimization system for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector.
