Small Business Transportation Resource Center opens new office in Cortex

Local leaders will be on hand for the ribbon cutting

U.S. Congresswoman Cori Bush

The Central Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) recently held a luncheon and ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new office at the Cortex Innovation Center (Cortex) in St. Louis. Located in the City of St. Louis, Cortex is an innovation community that serves as an inclusive economic engine for the region.

Featured speakers at the event include U.S. Congresswoman Cori Bush, St. Louis County Councilwoman Sharonda Webb, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership CEO and President Rodney Krim, and St. Louis Development Authority President, President and CEO Neil Krim. Richardson was included. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation, SBTRC, and Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) also spoke at the ceremony.

The Central Region SBTRC serves disadvantaged businesses and other small businesses in the private transportation industry in Missouri and neighboring states of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, and Mississippi. This includes supporting minority- and women-owned businesses. WBDC operates the Central Region SBTRC through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Small Disadvantaged Use.
