The series ran for six weeks on ITV and reportedly averaged around 7 million viewers at the time. But now it’s been added to streaming services and has a new lease of life with even more viewers.
One of the reasons this show is so popular this time around is because the series has a very high score on Rotten Tomatoes, reaching 92% at the time of writing.

In the series, Smith plays a janitor mired in debt, addiction, and an expensive custody battle, who is thrust into the world of insider trading after discovering a financial secret.
Reviews at the time praised the actress’ performance. The series was also praised for how well it held everything together, even if the plot delved into something a little ridiculous.
Another archived ITV series that is doing well on Netflix after recently joining the service is: fat friendsa 2000-2005 series starring Future gavin and stacey Cast members include Ruth Jones, Alison Steadman, and James Corden. Sheridan Smith also appeared in several episodes.

As for what Smith is up to now, she’s currently starring in a musical. first night in At the Gielgud Theater in central London, she played a role in which she swapped her blonde hair for a darker hairstyle.
