Kyoto – SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd. (also known as SCREEN GA) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Japan Printing Society of Japan (JSPST) 2024 Technology Award. This award recognizes the Truepress LABEL 350UV series, a family of uniquely developed UV inkjet systems for label production. The association presents these awards each February to recognize technologies that have made an outstanding contribution to the growth of the printing industry. The selection process should assess a company’s level of innovation, progressiveness, marketability and scalability as reflected in technology.

SCREEN GA’s advanced Truepress LABEL 350UV series delivers superior productivity and enables printers to meet the tight deadlines often required for small to medium-sized print jobs. In terms of print quality, the wide color gamut with orange and blue inks, stable color reproduction, and easy touchscreen operation ensure accurate color matching and superior printing.

The Truepress LABEL 350UV series uses SCREEN GA’s Truepress ink LV02, which was specially developed by SCREEN GA to comply with increasingly stringent international regulations regarding ink composition. Compatible with the company’s proprietary high-opacity white mode and fade-resistant yellow ink, it can be used in a wider range of applications. This rich functionality has earned us the trust of customers around the world. From its initial release in 2014 to 2022, SCREEN GA has shipped a total of 200 systems.

In evaluating this year’s award nominees, the jury praised the Truepress LABEL 350UV series for its outstanding contribution to the advancement of label printing technology. They particularly cited its superior productivity, quality and stability, as well as the availability of low migration inks suitable for food packaging products, as well as the addition of orange and blue ink capabilities. The judges praised the series’ excellent features, including its variable printing function designed for extremely small print runs and its continued efforts to develop new models.

This is the fifth time in six years that SCREEN GA has won the JSPST award. SCREEN GA’s future plans include further accelerating the development of high-speed, high-quality inkjet technology, production line automation solutions, and high-performance inks. Advances in these areas will enable SCREEN GA to strengthen its position as a leader in the field of UV inkjet label production and further contribute to the growth of the printing industry on a broader scale.

SCREEN GA President Yukiyoshi Tanaka said, “SCREEN GA is extremely honored to receive this prestigious technology award from the Japan Printing Society.” “Label printing and package printing continue to expand in the production of daily necessities, but much of this work is done using analog methods. There are many issues that need to be addressed in these areas, such as reducing the amount of waste that is generated. At SCREEN GA, we want to contribute to social change by promoting digital printing, which has both environmental and economic benefits. Masu.”

“Our Truepress LABEL 350UV series is widely praised by our customers for its high throughput for small to medium-lot work on tight schedules, color fidelity on repeat jobs, and simple, intuitive operation. ” Mr. Tanaka. “We are very happy that this series has received this award from JSPST, as it truly proves its high level of technology. As solution creators, we are continually developing new technologies. We will continue to make improvements that are required by both label companies and printing site operators. This will allow us to support the further growth of the printing industry, while also improving our customers’ individual businesses. We will also be able to support expansion.”
