The most pressing topics in healthcare, including the future of AI, combating burnout, nursing workforce challenges, leveraging technology to improve the patient experience, population health, and financial stability, will be explored in a series of panel discussions and This will be an important topic for Sanford Health leaders to discuss during the roundtable. It will be discussed at the next 14th Becker Annual Meeting.
The four-day conference will be held in Chicago from April 8th to 11th. Sanford Health’s Jeremy Cauwels, MD, Chief Physician; Erica DeBoer, MD, RN, MA, CCRN-K, CNL, Chief Nursing Officer; Jared Antczak, Chief Digital Officer; Brad Reimer, Chief Information Officer; Heather Spies, MD, MBA, MD Sanford Health Plan Chief Operating Officer Dr. Emily Gries, an experienced director of clinician, and Martha Leclerc, vice president of corporate contracts, will join the leadership of the nation’s top health system.
Panels include workforce, equity and technology issues
Dr. Cauwels will lead two panels focused on leveraging workforce and technology: “Rethinking the Hospital Workforce: Where Top-tier Systems Are Heading” and “Expanding Patient Care Beyond Hospital Walls: Leveraging Emerging Technologies.” I am planning to participate in the event.
Ms. DeBoer will also participate in two panel discussions focused on preparing for the future of nursing staff and health equity. She is the author of “Nursing Workforce: Big Ideas for the Next Generation” and “Spotlight on Health Equity: How to Move the Needle on Great Ideas and Implementation.” ”
Dr. Gries will participate on two panels discussing population health and the blueprint for leaders to follow. “Population Health in the Next Five Years: Directions for Healthcare Planning” and “His CEO’s Guide to Surviving Disruption and Rethinking Business Models.”
Reimer’s two panels will focus on potential moves by technology and retail giants in the healthcare space. “Amazon, Google, Walmart: What’s Their Next Healthcare Strategy?” and “The Data Economy: Who’s Best and What’s Next for Healthcare?”
Mr. Antczak will participate in a panel discussion on the future of AI in healthcare, “Digital Technologies and AI Strategies to Win in the Next Five Years.”
Dr. Spieth will discuss clinician health in a panel discussion titled “The Role of Executives in Addressing Physician Burnout.”
Mr. Leclerc’s panel discussion will be related to the financial side of the industry: “Economics and Policies Shaping the Future of Healthcare.”
This will be the third consecutive year that Sanford Health leaders will participate in Becker’s Annual Meeting since the return to in-person meetings following the pandemic.
