Revolución Educativa (RevED) and the Latinx Education Collaborative (LEC) will host free youth entrepreneurship workshops for high school and college students at 2203 Lexington Ave. from July 15-18 from 5:30-7 p.m.

The 25-seat course will provide resources and mentorship opportunities for budding entrepreneurs, said Ivan Ramirez, director of digital experiences at RevED. Classes will include building a financial foundation and starting, growing and pivoting a small business. Course instructors include Diana Muñoz, founder of the Latino Arts Foundation.

The youth entrepreneur summer camp will provide students with community networking and new business education, as well as lessons in business planning, Ramirez said.

“Every business needs a plan, and these lessons will help participants take their business from conception,” Ramirez said. “Participants will learn how to create a budget, how to form an LLC (limited liability company), and the steps every small business owner should take to make their dreams a reality.”

Those interested can apply at leckc.org/youthbusiness. Updates on upcoming events will also be provided on RevEd and LEC’s social media pages.

In partnership with Bank of America, lessons will be offered in both English and Spanish, and RevEd plans to teach adult entrepreneurship courses in the fall “for Spanish-speaking parents, guardians and the general community,” Ramirez said.
