Renowned auto manufacturer TJ Loftin hosts first GITME Expo in Compton, California to fuel Black innovation and entrepreneurship

Nationwide — TJ Loftin, a respected figure in the auto industry and advocate for economic empowerment within the Black community, will be at the inaugural Global Innovation Transportation Manufacturing Education (GITME) Expo and Lowriders, Custom Cars and Motorcycles in Compton. Announcing the opening of the show. California. To Activate Black Innovation and Entrepreneurship on June 22, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the historic Dollarhyde Community Center, named after the first black mayor of Compton, California. This groundbreaking event will be held.Loftin aims to revitalize the culture of invention and entrepreneurship by celebrating the rich history and significant contributions of Black inventors and showcasing new talent nationally. He emphasizes the historical importance of black ingenuity, citing notable examples such as C.R. Patterson’s car company in 1910 and Dudley Hair Care Products in 1967; It reached a plateau because of black national challenges to higher education in the desegregation era.

Today, GITME Expo serves as a vibrant platform that brings people from all educational backgrounds into the field of invention. It brings together automotive industry professionals, exhibitors, enthusiasts, manufacturers and African representatives interested in commerce and trade with black businesses. Highlights include lowriders, custom cars, motorcycles and futuristic technology demonstrations. There will also be activities and exhibits to foster curiosity and motivation in young people.
