Startups from Rajasthan were the highlight of the inaugural event of Startup Mahakumbh organised by ASSOCHAM, NASSCOM and other prominent organisations in New Delhi, showcasing India’s startup ecosystem under the theme ‘Bharat Innovates’.A key participant was iStart, an initiative of the IT and Telecommunications Department, Government of Rajasthan.
iStart Rajasthan had 10 booths at the event showcasing a diverse range of startups across sectors including transport infrastructure, education, healthcare and industrial VR technology. The initiative highlighted the financial and non-financial support provided by the Rajasthan government. The three-day event brought together startups, investors, incubators, accelerators and industry leaders from across India.
The startups that participated in the event received a positive response. Seven of them reported high satisfaction with their participation. Tikam Chand Jain, Founder, Fleeca India, praised the exceptional support from the iStart team. The event was a game changer for many.
Shiv Ram, founder of Codevidhya, appreciated the learning environment of the event, noting that it gave him important insights into the current entrepreneurial landscape. Viral Tiwari of Nuskha felt that the event was an opportunity to find a community with fellow startup founders while also gaining access to cutting-edge solutions.
The iStart delegation also included around 50 university students with the ambition to become entrepreneurs. The basic idea behind it is to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. The event, called “Future Entrepreneurs Day”, provided students with lessons on strategic thinking and resilience.
Reflecting on his experience at the event, Harsh Sharma, a BBA (Hons) student, emphasised on the importance of adaptability and strategic thinking to overcome market challenges. Drishan Gupta, a BTech in Computer Science, found the event transformative as it gave him a clear vision for his startup idea.
