Sir Keir Starmer has launched his pitch to Labor voters ahead of the general election, unveiling a series of six steps for his government.

Speaking from Essex this morning, he was joined by deputy leader Angela Reiner and shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves.

He vowed to deliver economic stability, reduce NHS waiting times, create a new border force to stamp out criminal boat gangs and create a publicly owned energy provider called Great British Energy. There is.

He has pledged to tackle anti-social behavior and is expected to announce the recruitment of 6,500 new teachers.

This comes after Rishi Sunak criticized Labor in his keynote speech earlier this week for fighting on the basis of “Starmer versus Mr Sunak”.

But Sir Keir is sure he wants to make it a personal battle between the two men over who is the better candidate to run the country.

New workers vs. changed workers

A reporter asked: “What do you say to those who say you’re just a copycat of Prime Minister Blair?”

He replied that the most important thing about Prime Minister Blair was that he was able to take the party from the opposition to power.

The former prime minister was successful in pursuing the people’s wishes, praising him for “winning three consecutive elections.”

But he claims: “The changes we are facing now are not the same.

“For those who ask, ‘Which leader has a tattoo on the inside of his arm?’ The answer is none.”

“Starmer Blair’s Successor”

Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of offering promises similar to the Conservative Party’s plans and Blair’s New Labor.

LBC’s Natasha Clarke asks: “Do you feel like Tony Blair today?”

“Let me reject the idea that this is the Tory card,” he replied, without denying Blair-style campaigning.

Labor has big goals

Mr Starmer insisted his campaign was not lacking in ambition.

he says: “Imagine the NHS back on its feet. Imagine clean power by 2030. I will not accept their baby steps.

“If you can’t pay your bills or buy a home, this is a really important big change.”
