James Franklin and the Penn State football team appear ready to stay committed for the foreseeable future. Nittany Lions Plans are currently underway to add one more member to the 2025 freshman class: Miami Central (Fla.) defensive lineman Randy Adilika.

The neighboring Hurricanes have been viewed as a leading destination for Adilika in recent months, with On3 keeping track of three projections for Miami from director of recruiting Chad Simmons, including one from February and another from March.
As of Friday morning, the site’s recruiting projection machine gave Miami a 97% chance of landing the 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman. On3 and 247Sports both have Penn State, Miami and USC as Adili’s top three schools.
Randy Adilika received a Penn State football offer in February 2023. He has only been to campus twice, both times in the past two months. His first visit was UW Game The first summit will take place on April 13th, followed by an official visit the weekend of June 14th.
According to On3’s 2025 recruit rankings, the three-star Adilika is the No. 31 defensive lineman and No. 57 prospect in the state of Florida. As a junior, he recorded 27 tackles (16 TFL), 11 sacks and a forced fumble. At Miami Central, Adilika was high school teammates with 2025 Penn State quarterback commit Bechem Kritza.

It’s been a busy month of recruitment for James Franklin and the Penn State football organization, but it’s actually the Nittany Lions’ defense that has taken recruiting to a new level in June.
Penn State has added eight players since June 10, seven of them defensive backs.
Four of the seven new Nittany Lions go to defensive backs Terry Smith and Anthony Poindexter. The other three are all pass rushers. Cortez Harris and Jayden Woods He is considered a defensive end, Max Granville He is listed as a linebacker and edge.
if If Adilika commits, he would become Deon Barnes and Tom Allen’s first interior defensive lineman of the 2025 recruiting cycle.
Penn State football is currently ranked 11th in the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to On3, while 247Sports reports James Franklin’s Nittany Lions are ranked sixth nationally and have a shot at a top-five spot.
