Contrary to expectations, the Stanley Cup Final continues on Monday with Game 7 of an epic matchup between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Below, we’ve got everything you need to know about how to watch the Stanley Cup Final, including both cable and live streaming options. Or, if you’d prefer to be in person, here’s our guide on where to buy tickets to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup.

When the Panthers took a 3-0 lead into Game 4, many thought we were about to witness their first complete Stanley Cup Final sweep since 1998. However, the Oilers fought back, winning a massive 8-1 victory to send the series to Game 5, which they won again to tie the series at 3-3 on Friday. We’ll find out in one game if the Panthers can win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, or if the Oilers have a chance to pull off one of the most impressive comebacks in NHL history.

Whether you’re a Panthers or Oilers fan, we’ve got you covered when it comes to watching Game 7. Read on to learn the best viewing options and don’t forget to bookmark our NHL hub for next season.

Quick Links on How to Watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals

How to watch the Stanley Cup Final in the USA

Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final will air on ABC at 8pm ET on Friday. If you don’t have cable, you can choose from one of the many live streaming options to stream ABC content. The cheapest option currently is ESPN+, which costs $10.99 per month, so if the Stanley Cup Final goes all the way to Game 7, you’ll be covered.

ESPN Plus (monthly plan)

ESPN Plus is designed for sports, allowing subscribers to watch live MLB, NHL, NFL, soccer, golf, and UFC matches. You can pay $11 per month or save about $22 per year by signing up for an annual subscription. There are also bundles with Hulu and Disney Plus for even more savings.

Another way to watch the game is with a live TV package like Sling TV or Fubo. Sling TV lets you stream ABC in some areas with its Sling Orange + Blue plan ($55 per month), but new users are currently getting their first month for half price (which means tonight’s price comes to about $27.50 before tax). Sling’s local channel coverage is fairly limited, so it’s a good idea to double-check what networks are available in your area using your zip code before subscribing. You can find more details on Sling’s local channels page.

Sling TV Subscription

If you want nothing but the essentials and nothing but the frills, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. With more customizability than other plans, and three options to choose from, you only pay for what you need. New members get $25 off your first month.

Starting at $79.99 per month, Fubo is a bit pricey for a live TV option, but it does have some pretty good coverage of ABC. The service is great for sports and has a huge catalog of channels, so even if the NHL season is coming to an end, you’ll still be able to watch your other favorite teams on Fubo. Plus, new users can try the service for free for a week. As always with live TV packages, check your zip code before signing up to make sure the channels you want to watch are available in your area.

Fubo Pro Plan

Fubo is a streaming service for sports fans. Its vast library of channels includes local and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can add extra programming to your plan, but this will cost extra.

How to watch the Stanley Cup Final from anywhere

Hockey fans who travel outside the US for games can continue their subscriptions by using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). A VPN allows you to change your device’s electronic location so you can use all the websites and apps you always use, no matter where you are. The services discussed here require a US payment method, so this suggestion is perfect for Americans who are traveling abroad and want to use their existing subscriptions.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we recommend ExpressVPN, a VPN for beginners that comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Check out our ExpressVPN review for more information. Read on to find out how to use a VPN.

ExpressVPN plans

With solid performance, reliable security, and extensive global streaming capabilities, ExpressVPN excels in every respect and is the best VPN out there, offering a host of advanced features that make it stand out. Plus, you can save up to 49% and get an additional 3 months free.

How to watch the Stanley Cup Final with a VPN

  • If you don’t already have a VPN, sign up.
  • Install it on the device you plan to watch on.
  • Power it on and set it to a US location.
  • Sign up for a live streaming package and go to ABC.
  • Enjoy the game!

Note: Using a VPN is illegal in some countries, and using a VPN to access geo-restricted streaming content may violate the terms of use of certain services. Insider does not encourage or condone the illegal use of a VPN.
