Norman, Oklahoma – The University of Oklahoma Price College of Business is launching a new hybrid master’s degree program to help working professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators learn how to launch and scale new businesses at existing or startup companies.
The Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation has two track courses: New Venture Development and Corporate Innovation. Each track is made up of 30 credits of coursework and can be completed in as little as 12 months, beginning in either the spring or fall semester.
The program begins with a one-week in-person residency featuring project-based learning and networking in the dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. During this time, students will have the opportunity to engage with University of Oklahoma faculty, successful entrepreneurs, Price University alumni, and highly motivated peers. Students then participate in weekly live online and asynchronous activities for the remainder of the program.
“The Mid-South United States has become a hotbed of startup activity, and the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business is a key player in the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Corey Phelps, dean and professor of entrepreneurship at Price College. “Our new master’s program will give students access to this ecosystem and the University of Oklahoma’s entrepreneurship and innovation resources, including the Tom Love Innovation Hub, the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Economic Wealth Creation, the Entrepreneurial Law Center, the OK Catalyst Program, and the broad scientific and technical expertise of Price College’s world-class faculty.”
“Our faculty provide leadership within the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing students with a unique opportunity to not only learn and develop their skills, but also capitalize on the region’s economic growth,” added Todd Moss, director of the Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. “We look forward to launching the program and working with the talented individuals each cohort will attract.”
