More than 100 aspiring young entrepreneurs participated in the annual Omaha Children’s Business Fair. This fair is an event rich in attractive companies that can showcase their unique products and services. Leading local companies provided much-needed wisdom to budding entrepreneurs, providing valuable insights to hone business strategies and strengthen relationships with customers.

Fair founder Rachel Benson strongly believes in creating a supportive environment where a child’s entrepreneurial spirit can flourish. She ensures that participating in the fair will lead to the development of valuable lifelong skills such as problem-solving, leadership, and financial literacy.

The fair saw countless exhibits from young participants like Estelle Mackintosh, from handmade jewelry to the application of technology. Here, they not only learned to create and sell products, but also the nuances of branding, encouraging resourcefulness and taking calculated risks in a competitive market.

Rachel highlights the important role that resilience plays in business. Seeing setbacks as stepping stones to success aligns with her philosophy of promoting the concept of accepting defeat as a natural part of growth, thereby fostering perseverance in young entrepreneurs.

Frequent attendee Estelle McIntosh swears that the fair has boosted her confidence and dramatically improved her business results.

She looks forward to the next fair, preparing the best products and brainstorming innovative designs. She reflects on her journey so far and expresses her gratitude to the trade fair for providing a platform that allows her to engage directly with potential customers.

Entrepreneurs like Rachel Fox serve as both mentors and judges at trade shows. These foster the growth and innovation of young participants. Their involvement is more than just business. It allows these up-and-coming talents to dream bigger and inspire social progress.

Esther emphasizes the importance of perseverance in entrepreneurship. She strongly believes that viewing challenges as opportunities for growth leads to significant business progress and explains the secret to successful entrepreneurs’ resilience, market understanding, and continued commitment to their vision.

The drive and dedication of these young entrepreneurs to making their businesses successful is commendable. We hope that these platforms will continue to guide and develop future business leaders and ultimately contribute to the growth of society.
