Eleven Northern Virginia business leaders are among the 30 finalists for Ernst & Young’s 2024 Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
An independent panel of judges selected them “based on demonstrated long-term value through entrepreneurship, purpose, growth and impact,” according to Ernst & Young’s website.
The regional finalists for Northern Virginia are:

- Sukumar IyerFounder, Executive Chairman, and CEO of Brilient; Reston

- Dan BurconCEO and President of Carmen International, alexandria
- burton whiteCo-founder and CEO of Excella, arlington county
- Tim McLaughlinCo-Founder and CEO of GoTab, arlington county
- tim springerFounder and CEO of Level Access; arlington county
- Christina BouweiliPresident and CEO of Reston Limousine, sterling
- dave sterlingFounder and CEO of Royce Geospatial Consultants; arlington county
Three other Virginia entrepreneurs were named to Ernst & Young’s list. Glenn Diersen of Summit Human Capital in Richmond, Tobias Dengel of WillowTree in Charlottesville, and Tom Walker of DroneUp in Virginia Beach.
The 30 regional finalists in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., earned $2.8 billion in 2023. These companies have averaged 86% revenue growth and employed more than 16,000 people last year.

Regional winners will be announced in June and will compete at the national level. This year marks his 38th Entrepreneur of the Year award.
