New Southwest Business Credit Card Rewards – Earn up to 120,000 Points

To qualify for the bonus offers on either card, you must not currently own the card and have not received a new cardholder bonus for that card within the past 24 months.

If this sounds like you, all you have to do is spend money on your card and earn bonus points. Here’s how:

• With the Performance Business Card, you’ll earn 80,000 points after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months after account opening, and you’ll earn an additional 40,000 points after you spend $15,000 within the first nine months after account opening, for a total of 120,000 bonus points.
• With the Premier Business Card, you’ll earn 60,000 points after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first three months of opening your account, and earn another 60,000 points after you spend $15,000 within the first nine months of opening your account, for a total bonus point total of 120,000 points.

One way to earn a Companion Pass is to earn 135,000 points in any calendar year. Once you reach this threshold, your Companion Pass will be valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which it was earned, plus one year after that.

This benefit allows one person to fly free (excluding taxes and fees), so we recommend maximizing the length of time you hold your pass before becoming eligible again.

We’re halfway through 2024, but if you think you can spend $15,000 worth of expenses on the card in a short period of time, the bonus 120,000 points plus (at least) the 15,000 points you’ll earn on that spending will qualify you for the Companion Pass. You could still spend most of 2024 and all of 2025 on the Companion Pass.

Delta offers two types of Companion Certificates across its co-branded credit cards: one valid for domestic Main Cabin flights and one valid up to domestic First Class. The First Class Companion Certificate is the better deal as it is usually the most expensive ticket. Cardholders can add a companion to eligible Delta domestic roundtrip flights for just taxes and fees. All you need to do is book your flight and pay the taxes and fees for the companion.
