The local contest, which lasted approximately six hours, was held on Wednesday, May 22nd. The hashtag #MissUniversePhilippines2024, as well as the names of other candidates and their respective hometowns, made it onto X’s list of trending topics, with thousands of posts on social media platforms.
Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan won the coveted crownthis was a surprise to some, as contest experts had predicted other winners this year. Other winners Stacey Gabriel of Cainta (1st place), Tara Mae Valencia of Baguio (3rd place) and Christy McGarry of Taguig (4th place).

Reacting to the results of the contest, X-user uploaded a video depicting his predictions for this year’s contest page: Mythosology and Sash Factor, for those who didn’t know. The same three candidates were selected for the final round. Participating in the pageant were Ahatisa Manalo of Quezon, Christy McGarry of Taguig and Victoria Velazquez Vincent of Bacoor.
Ahatisa was named second runner-up and Miss Cosmo Philippines, while Christy was named fourth runner-up, while Victoria placed in the top 10 in the pageant.

This year’s coronation night began at 8:30 pm and ended around 1 am the next day. Fans of the contest couldn’t help but express their dissatisfaction with the lengthy commercial breaks at the end of each segment.
An X-user tweeted a photo of Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, which became a meme after the ’69 missNumber She was chosen as Miss Universe because of her “low energy as a host.”
Meanwhile, other social media users pointed out how “passionate” yet hilarious Alden Richards was as he announced the contest’s leading candidates.

The grand coronation night was held at the Mall of Asia Arena. Alexi Brooks of Iloilo was announced as the Miss Eco International Philippines title holder, while the Miss Charm Philippines crown went to Cyril Payumo of Pampanga. Both placed in the top 10 in local competitions.
