PANAJI: The Union Ministry of Education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the ministry’s innovation cell have launched the second phase of innovation, design and entrepreneurship boot camps across the country. The event was hosted in Goa this year by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Cancolim, Goa.
Bootcamps are a government initiative to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. More than 2,500 students from nine higher education institutions nationwide participated.
From April 29th to May 3rd, nationally and internationally reputed speakers and design experts will conduct training sessions at nine locations across the country (Goa being one of them).
At the bootcamp, students will receive training in product design, ergonomic design thinking, and pitching skills to succeed in the new-age business environment by Wadhwani Foundation, known for supporting entrepreneurship education. .
AICTE Chairman Prof TG Sitaram inaugurated the bootcamp in virtual mode from AICTE headquarters in New Delhi. The event was also broadcast live on social media platforms.
The inaugural event by the organizer, NIT Goa, was held in the presence of Pradeep Dharge, Director, Innovation Council, Union Ministry of Education, Mr. Vivek Kamat, Director, Technical Education, Goa, and Prof. O Jaiwal, Director, NIT Goa.
