KINGSTON, N.Y. — Several libraries in Mid-Hudson are participating in the “Digital Navigators for the Hudson Valley” program, providing free technology assistance to those who need it, according to an announcement from the Mid-Hudson Library System.
The program will feature “digital navigators,” trained guides who will work in member libraries to provide assistance with “tasks of daily living, such as using devices, securing free or low-cost Internet service, completing online job applications, applying for services or benefits, obtaining educational services, enrolling in free phone programs, and paying bills online,” according to the announcement.
In Ulster County, five libraries are participating in the program: Kingston Library (61 Crown St., Kingston), Elting Memorial Library (93 Main St., New Paltz), Plattekill Library (2047 state Route 32, Modena), Ulster Town Library (860 Ulster Ave., Ulster Township) and Woodstock Public Library (5 Library Lane, Woodstock).
In Dutchess County, the Digital Navigator can be found at the Red Hook Library (7444 South Broadway, Red Hook).
