Michigan State head football coach Jonathan Smith is scheduled to complete his first spring practice schedule next weekend, and recruiting will be at the forefront for the rest of the summer.
The Spartans have yet to commit to the 2025 class, but that could change at any time as MSU is the clear leader in most recruiting.
One recruit in particular, Charles White, seems intent on joining the Spartan army. He’s already committed to Michigan State from his 247Sports He has five crystal balls, and now On3 recruiting expert Jason Killop has a prediction in favor of the Spartans.

Charles White is a three-star linebacker from West Bloomfield, Michigan. He is his No. 542 player and No. 60 linebacker in the country, according to On3. He is also a top 10 player out of Michigan. On3 predicts that Charles will attend Michigan State, and he gives MSU a 95.3% chance of winning this recruitment.
It seems like White has been high on the Spartans for quite some time. He recently visited Michigan State on April 6th, and it was a few days after this visit that crystal balls started pouring in on 247Sports. Additionally, an official visit is already scheduled for June 7th. With this additional prediction from On3, it is clear that MSU is the leader.
Mr. White has several other official visits scheduled this summer. He is scheduled to visit Boston College on May 31st and Kansas State on June 14th. He’ll likely still make these visits and officially commit soon after, but there’s always a chance he commits to MSU right away and shuts down the rest of the university. Recruitment.
Regardless of when he commits, the Spartans have to love their position. MSU is in a better position to do more than give Charles an actual contract, so it might just be a matter of time before he officially becomes a Spartan.
