Governor Burgum echoes President Trump’s claim that hush money trial is ‘politically motivated’

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who was in a Manhattan courtroom today to support Donald Trump, called the trial “politically motivated” and called the judge out during an appearance on CNN. attacked.
He claimed that Judge Juan Marchan had donated to Joe Biden and that his family had benefited financially as Democratic Party operatives, but President Trump was barred from serving as a judge in the case until a gag order barred him from doing so. was attacking.
Trump has attacked Marchand’s family, including his daughter, whose political consulting firm worked with the Biden campaign and the campaign of current Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump has also complained about Marchand, who presided over a lawsuit against the Trump Organization that was convicted of tax evasion late last year.
Burgum, who is a potential running mate for President Trump, denied asking him to attack the judge’s daughter, as Trump had previously done to reporters outside court, but he is still under a gag order. This is something a former president cannot do.
He also trivialized the trial as a “paper trial” and painted Michael Cohen as a “serial perjurer.”
