Melody Fidel, entrepreneurial missionary and founder of the Stable and Sustainable Business Summit, spoke via Zoom from her London base, sharing her vibrant story from growing up in Warri to becoming a business and entrepreneurship leader for over 10,000 Africans.
He was speaking at the Stability and Sustainability Business Summit held recently in Warri, the main city of Delta State, where he inspired and empowered entrepreneurs to persevere in their chosen paths.
The event themed “Huge Profits for Small Businesses” held at Tobi’s Villa Event Centre, Warri attracted over 1,000 participants where four young wave-making entrepreneurs from the Delta shared their inspiring stories and provided business mentorship guide to participants.
“I have always wanted to guide people, especially the younger generation, on the path to achieving their dreams. At a young age, I started volunteering in different communities and helping people achieve their goals. That has now transformed into mentoring young people on their career paths, including providing grants to accelerate the growth of their businesses,” Melody said.
He advised his mentors: “You must be intentional and passionate about your profession. Whatever you decide to do, equip yourself with the skills to deliver above and beyond your expectations. Be focused, persistent, determined and financially disciplined towards the goals you set.”
Apart from Melody, other featured mentors at the SME mega profit event included speaker Rejoice Debekeme, SME growth strategist Victory Igelogbo and fashion brand owner Jitu Talerayefa.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of N50,000 grants by the Stability and Sustainability team to five selected entrepreneurs to help grow their businesses.
“The Stability and Sustainment program has taught me to be more focused, consistent and practice financial discipline to take my business to greater heights,” said Belemikuro Dagbama, one of the recipients of the grant and mentoring opportunities.
The Stable and Sustainable Business Summit is the brainchild of Melody, who has mentored over 10,000 young people in person and virtually over the past decade on skilling and monetizing, provided business grants to over 100 young people and was awarded The Future Awards Africa Prize for Service to Young People in late 2023 for her youth mentorship.
