BetaDen, the business accelerator for technology start-ups, has welcomed the first participants to its new incubator programme, run in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership.
The eight-week programme will provide support to up to 60 start-ups over four intake periods from a dedicated co-working space at The Kiln in Worcester.
Founders will receive in-person workshops, customized business support from experienced coaches, invitations to Barclays-sponsored networking events, brand-building opportunities, and exposure to the program’s network of partners and alumni.
The first 10 Worcestershire tech start-ups to take part in the programme are:
- LostLamb – A technology-driven system that reunites parents with their children when a parent becomes lost.
- GraftAR – An augmented reality app that allows customers to visualize products in their own home and connects artisans with customers
- Making lives better – AI tools to help citizens receive benefits and grant entitlements
- Doopee Doo – A gamified discovery app that brings new experiences and interactions to the tourism sector
- B13 AI – AI-powered software to reduce the risks of software development projects

Karen Nolan, founder of Bid Essentials, said: “I’m really happy to have been accepted into the program. All the workshops I’ve done so far have been amazing. There was so much I didn’t know so I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow.”
“It’s been an inspiring experience so far with a real sense of community. It’s good to be with other founders who are at the same stage as me and facing the same challenges. I feel really supported by the BetaDen team, my mentors and my peers within the group.”
