The imec.istart accelerator program has announced the addition of six new startups to its summer 2024 cohort. These companies will introduce transformative innovations across a range of industries.
Imec’s open accelerator program, imec.istart, provides technology startups with pre-seed funding and customized support to foster their global growth.
Introducing six new startups
Dex – Founded by Leonard Tam, Carl Boel, Kim Note and Michiel Van den Camp, Dexr is a Ghent-based startup transforming XR learning and training to be accessible and cost-effective.
Dital – Led by Alexandra Maksimov and Dan Tatar, Brussels-based Ditar aims to transform the optical industry with augmented reality solutions and help eyewear brands innovate their customer experience.
Jump Energy – The Nairobi-based startup was co-founded by Jonas Van Eyck, Bart Venmans, Andreas Creten, Stef Venmans and Elie Devlieger. Jump Energy advances zero-emission mobility by providing high-quality battery management solutions for commercial vehicles.
Prismos – The Brussels-based startup provides tailored, real-time, personalized political insights for public policy professionals across Europe.
Levin – Co-founded by Emilio van der Linden, Simon de Geyter and Kianne Delloup, Ghent-based Rebin aims to transform asset management with software that provides real-time monitoring, streamlined collection routes and actionable insights for businesses and governments.
Request Contest – Andreas Withaeckx and Hendrik Bostoen co-founded ReqCon, an AI-powered copilot for the construction industry to simplify project requirements management with a centralized platform. The Antwerp-based startup offers centralized project requirements, real-time updates, automated compliance validation, and more.
What can startups expect?
Through the imec.istart accelerator program, selected startups will receive resources such as funding, mentorship, access to advanced technologies and a support network to foster growth and success.
The program is dedicated to nurturing these young companies and helping them realize their full potential.
Since 2011, imec.istart has invested in over 300 companies and selects around 30 promising startups each year for a 12-month program in Belgium. To set them up for long-term success, imec.istart continues to support founders through its extensive alumni network.
