Rotterdam is home to over 1,900 startups and has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest startup hubs. Many of these Rotterdam startups are currently looking for talented and innovative people to join their companies.

Rotterdam’s strategic location in the heart of Europe’s busiest port attracts many forward-thinking investors keen to invest in startups. Multiple funding rounds were held in 2024, with several Rotterdam startups successfully raising funding.

For those interested in joining these fast-growing startups, here is a list of Rotterdam startups funded in Q1 2024 and currently hiring.

She Matters is a digital health platform dedicated to reducing mortality rates for minority communities, including Black mothers.

We focus on empowering refugee and immigrant women by providing them with opportunities for economic independence through job readiness programs, coaching, and support services.

In February, the company secured $2 million (€1.8 million) in funding from the American Heart Association. This investment will facilitate the launch of the She Matters Symptom Tracker app. This app is used by expectant mothers and new mothers to monitor for signs of serious complications such as pre-eclampsia or her HELLP syndrome.

Ciloo is a B2B SaaS company that provides an on-demand platform for delivering e-commerce software for branded products and corporate gifts. The platform offers local, on-demand production in over 30 countries, effectively minimizing transportation distance, waste and costs.

Additionally, Ciloo seamlessly integrates with existing systems such as ERP, DAM, and SSO to streamline your workflow. This allows companies to effectively manage branded products on a global scale with enhanced control.

On February 16th, Ciloo announced that it had secured its first round of funding led by Alliance VC. While the exact investment amount remains undisclosed, Cloo plans to use the funds to further its mission to revolutionize internal e-commerce for global companies.

Vi-Health

Founder: Marlene ten Dam

Vi-Health is a platform for women over 40 that offers a novel, data-driven, personalized approach to health. We focus on supporting women during menopause.

The company aims to support the 1.8 million working women in the Netherlands who are experiencing menopause. Approximately 90% of women report feeling lost due to questions and symptoms.

The Vi-Health app is specifically designed to fill this critical gap in overcoming menopause by providing support, information, and connection to qualified professionals. The company announced in January that it had secured new funding from Dutch financial services company NN Group. However, the amount of funding remains undisclosed.
