- MATH Nuage helps startups succeed in India’s AI market, which is expected to grow to $17 billion by 2027.
MATH, a leading hub for AI and ML technologies and a joint project of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and T-Hu, today announced the launch of the MATH Nuage program. This 12-month incubation initiative is designed to accelerate the growth of early to growth stage AI/ML startups. The program is poised to transform the AI/ML startup ecosystem with customized support, advanced technology offerings, and market access opportunities.
The MATH Nuage program offers a comprehensive suite of services to help startups overcome common challenges. Startups receive personalized one-on-one mentoring from industry veterans to help them overcome strategic and operational hurdles. The program also facilitates direct connections with potential investors, significantly increasing the chances of securing significant funding. Additionally, MATH Nuage helps startups identify and enter target markets, providing the support they need to effectively scale their business.
Unlike traditional incubation programs, MATH Nuage adopts a needs-based approach, providing personalized support tailored to each startup’s specific requirements. Leveraging a strong network of experts and investors, MATH Nuage ensures startups receive comprehensive assistance designed to foster growth and innovation.
Rahul Pais, CEO of MATH, said: “We are excited to launch the MATH Nuage program, a unique initiative aimed at accelerating AI/ML startups. The Indian AI market is projected to reach $17 billion by 2027, increasing the need to provide essential support to startups. With our track record of connecting startups with market and investor opportunities, MATH Nuage is sure to fuel greater success for AI/ML startups in India and globally. We plan to expand the program across multiple cohorts, increase startup participation, expand support services, and forge new partnerships with technology providers and investors.”
Participants will have access to discounted GPUs and cloud credits, ensuring they have the computing power they need to develop and refine their AI/ML solutions. A standout feature of the program is NAIM (Nurturing AI Minds), a specialized learning management system (LMS) that offers customized educational resources and training modules. Startups can also leverage extensive datasets through access to a data lake to train and validate their AI models, improving the accuracy and efficiency of their solutions.
The MATH Nuage program begins with an intensive onboarding phase aimed at assessing and tailoring support to meet the specific needs of each participating startup. Startups then enter the implementation phase, where they are provided with personalized mentoring, essential infrastructure, and access to critical resources. Throughout the program, regular evaluations ensure that support is continually improved, optimizing startups’ readiness for growth and independent scaling.
Startups interested in participating will need to submit detailed information about their technology, team composition and specific operational requirements online in the application process. The selection process will include a rigorous initial screening, followed by interviews and a presentation to an external jury. The program will start on August 1, 2024, with a mid-term review scheduled for February 2025 and a graduation ceremony and demo day planned for July 2025. Application link
