Mary Anane Awuku, wife of the Director-General of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Mr Sami Awuku, has launched a book on entrepreneurship.

The book was launched on June 8, 2024 at a short ceremony at the African Regent Hotel in Accra.

The book, Entrepreneurial Success, details the experiences of over 30 Ghanaian entrepreneurs across various sectors.

Speaking at the book launch event, Mary Anane Awuku said the book would provide insights for budding entrepreneurs.

She said she featured entrepreneurship in the book because of the entrepreneur’s role in supporting the government.

“Entrepreneurship is a big contributor to a country’s economy. It’s the entrepreneurs who support the government. So let’s use this money to really support and educate people so that they can be successful entrepreneurs and create jobs. Governments can’t do it all alone. The private sector also needs to help create jobs,” she said.

Meanwhile, chairman of the event, Alex Apau Dadi, noted that entrepreneurship helps in wealth creation.

However, he stressed that people interested in starting a business should first learn the ropes and gain some skills and experience before starting their own business.
