Madhuri Dixit’s husband Shriram Nene re-shared a thread on billionaire Google investor and Indian-origin entrepreneur Ram Shriram on X. In the post, Nene spoke about meeting Shriram, adding that he is one of the most “incredible” people the doctor has ever met.
“Google exists because of this Indian-American billionaire,” X user Utkarsh Singh wrote in the first post of his X thread. Shriram Nene reshared the post with the caption, “One of the most amazing people we’ve ever met who shares my name.”

Ram Shriram is a founding board member of Google, now known as Alphabet Inc. He sold most of his shares in Google but remains on the board of the parent company, Alphabet Inc., according to Forbes. He is also the founder of venture capital firm Sherpalo Ventures.
Ram Shriram serves on the board of directors of Paperless Post and Yubico, is vice chairman of the Stanford University Board of Trustees, is a director of Stanford Seed, and has served as an advisor to the School of Engineering for many years.
Born in India. Studied mathematics at the University of Madras. Moved to the US in 1994 and joined Netscape. Later became president of Jungle, which was acquired by Amazon. Later became vice president of Jeff Bezos’ Amazon. In 2000, he left the e-commerce company to start his own company, Sherpalo Ventures.
Shriram and his wife donated $61 million to Stanford University to support the university’s engineering endeavors; his daughters also attended the prestigious institution. In 2023, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
