“We are excited to bring our services closer to downtown,” said Rick Van Staveren. “This move underscores our dedication to serving the local business community and providing access to those seeking support and guidance.”

As the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC), funded by the Department of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade, the Department of Northern Development, and the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Millworks Center for Entrepreneurship empowers entrepreneurs by offering workshops, training courses, business planning, and grant initiatives such as the Summer Company and Starter Company Plus programs.

In 2023, The Millworks facilitated over 300 startup consultations, helped launch 74 small businesses, and conducted 21 impactful workshops attended by 565 people.
