SAFFORD — The window to reserve seats for the first Safford Spotlight on Small Business is rapidly closing.
Small Business Spotlight will be held on Monday, April 1st at the Manor 415 Convention Center. This is an opportunity for small business owners and managers to speak directly with Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other city officials about: To help small businesses succeed in Safford, what’s working well and what can the city do to do better?
You’ll also have the chance to hear about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department for businesses, and what new requirements for beneficial ownership reporting to the IRS’ Financial Crimes Network mean for business owners.
“Even if you’re a small business or have been in business for a long time, you might learn something different,” Ortega says.
The small business spotlight begins at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast and networking, then moves to a 90-minute program at 7:30 a.m.

Spotlight on Small Business is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Arizona University Small Business Development Center, and the Safford Downtown Association.
